I was visiting from another province when I fell and broke my ankle in 2 places. The hospital sent me back to the hotel in the middle of the night with crutches and a prescription for an aircast. I called Ottawa Carlton Physiotherapy first thing in the morning because it was one of the early opening aircast suppliers. Most weren't open until 10:00. Had a pain in my shoulder for a long time, then it just stopped moving with tremendous pain… caught in the Quebec health care saga, I literally had no where to go… clinics referred me to ER, then after waiting 10hrs, the ER Dr said he couldn’t do anything… (didn’t even take an xray…) Told me to go see a physio and call a family Dr… on the nexy day a Dr told me that I had a calcified tendinitis so they gave me a cortisone shot… and also suggested physiotherapy.
