Jacob did not replace fluid in manual transmission after replacing clutch. Ruined transmission in short drive before returning to shop. Refuses to do anything about $3000 to $5000 in transmission replacement. His brother did the same to a $10000 semi transmission. I will repost until he offers restitution. Maybe if they paid attention and stopped spewing flat earth conspiracies......
My husband and I take a fair amount of vehicles to Jacob to fix. It's always repaired properly, and his prices are good. Nice family business, we are always greeted with a smile.
Not a very good business. No customer service to be found anywhere. Was told to drop my car off at 11am the next morning for a simple exhaust pipe weld job. Dropped my car off and found it 5 hours later with a note on it from the neighboring business proclaiming I can't park in their lot. Came back 2 hours after that at 6 and found my car had never moved. No work done. They didn't even try. No apologies or anything. Just "here's your keys" 1out of 10. Would not do business here again.
Unfortunately Jacob couldn't fix the problem in 5 trips, after rebuilding the transmission. One of the trips he mentioned that he had smoke a lot of marijuana and couldn't concentrate and I would have to come back later. Never going back or giving him a referral. Would not recommend under any circumstance.
Had an issue with our Suburban. We thought it was a fuel pump. The guys at Orting Transmission were able to clean some parts and fix it for under $100. They could have diagnosed a more expensive and unnecessary fix but they chose to be honest and gain a long term customer.
Had my Burban in to a different shop up north 4 times asking them to figure out what was leaking after they put in a new engine with no straight answers and lots of money spent. Took Jake 5 minutes to find my leak and diagnose a couple of other issues I didn't really know I had, he's ordering parts, getting me in on a very flexible schedule and VERY reasonable rate!! My faith in mechanics is restored!!!!! Btw....he's behind Big J's not on Corrin Ct.
