Amazing. This place is busy. This place is always busy. This place is always ridiculously busy. Despite the fact that this place is always pretty full, I've always been seated almost immediately, the service is exceptional, food arrives quickly, and the quality of the food is extremely consistent. I guess I have to take that back... The biscuits and gravy recipe seems to change a little every week (it's always good, but on some days, it is the best I've ever had - I'm guessing there's one cook who adds a little something to the recipe that really makes it pop). The place is very family friendly and even other customers tend to be very cheery if you decide to strike up a conversation. In the end, I'd stay away from the skillets because they're a bit mediocre, but I'd highly recommend the apple pancake, the biscuits and gravy, the eggs benedict, and the good old fashioned pancakes!

Made-to-order breakfasts---including over a dozen unique flapjacks---stack the odds in this restaurant's favor. – In Short Founded in Oregon circa 1953, this simply-furnished spot owes its success to its creative menu and fresh ingredients. Batters are made on the premises; a special "sourdough starter" keeps treats from tasting overly sweet. Patrons choose from eggs, waffles, crepes and oven-baked omelets, as well as signature plates like blueberry pancakes (served with or without compote), giant cinnamon-glazed apple pancakes, thin and chewy "49-ers" and the air-filled, lemon-and-sugar-topped "Dutch Baby."
