Please do not send your loved ones here. The nursing staff don’t care and they are always short staffed. As a private home, they only want to make profit and don’t care about seniors’ well-being. They don’t know how to deal with dementia patients. They regularly lied to my elderly mother as if she didn’t know better, then called the rcmp when she was agitated and wouldn’t allow her to return to her home. I was very disappointed about the room quality because the carpet was stained and visibly dirty. I could not sit beside husband because there was an arm chair and a tiny love seat for one ( which was once beige but now a grimy brown from body oil and years of use). The television was the size of a laptop. I had to use a chair as a night table and there was no duvet ( only an empty duvet cover). Just some details that are left out before checking in; in order to use the shuttle to and from, they require 24 hours notice. After my surgery, my husband parked out front (with his hazard lights on) walked with me to our room. Front desk knew I had surgery and did not offer a wheelchair or to help in anyway! While my husband told them he was just getting me to our room, he came back down to a $250 parking ticket. Stayed here as a guest for using another service within Canmore. The staff were friendly and accommodating even though we are not part of the seniors living here. The food menu had tons to choose from and everything we ate was very good. I cannot speak too in depth for the residents, but I can say there was tons of posters for activities, and all of the people (staff and residents) I had the pleasure to meet were very nice. Thank you for being so hospitable.
