This credit union is the worst!! they purposely discourage extra principal payments. It cant be done from another bank. they say it can, however you go through a 40 minute process, at the end it says our system is not working, try again later. I call them, get is handled manually, then my automatic payments are shut off. this has happened twice. I'll never use them again!!!
I can never get through to their customer service for my dispute. Been on hold twice for two hours and never received response when messaging online with their message site.
Paid off a car loan we had with them, the check was $48.42 too much so instead of reimbursing the amount they added it as interest so they would not have to.
When I first moved to Oregon and never said much, OCCU was a good credit union to me. Once my wife past away, OCCU trolled my wifes account and mine and accepted my using it over a year. Then after i deposited a large sum of money to pay more bills. Then in May 2021 , OCCU pretended I was late on the loan called my wifes first husband from over a decade ago and scared him into telling them that my wife passed away. When I went to Oregon CCU here in Eugene, I had the worst customer service. First, no one could tell me what the guidelines were when it comes to auto loan. So, I took the risk to apply. I was told to wait for a decision after 24hrs. Nobody called me within that time frame. After 96 hrs, I called them back and was told my application was not approved. I had a similar experience with them when financing my very first car (1 and half year earlier). I'm going through this again and I definitely closed my account with them. The ... read more

If you don't mind their ATM's and web service being down at least once a week, then it's a normal bank.. Otherwise pretty much any other bank in Oregon is a better choice

you know what they had violated major court orders I paid that van off it was given to me and my children in a divorce decree and you sit the title to that perpetrator we were reported way back in August of 2014 and you knew it you are in violation of major court orders you and the perpetrator
