I was options treatment about 15vyrs ago the first yr the moved to New York street I cannot speak for how it is now or other counselors but I have never forgotten Steve Ehlke bexause he does truly care even if you don't like what he has to say.

If you or a loved one are seeking recovery from addiction or depression I suggest you go anywhere else. The structure of the groups feels like elementary school mixed with N.A. the counselors I've come across are young with no life experience in these areas. They use fear tactics on you if you're on probation. I have been with this group for about 4 months and have literally learned nothing and not for a lack of trying. Its okay to use methods of "relating/empathizing to your client," but today, during my orientation there was a point that hit a weird nerve with me. The clinical substance abuse counselor said that I pretty much told his life story and repeated the things I had gone through and acted like it had happened to him. It was not apparent to me until after the call had ended that I felt so uneasy about it.
