I joined the virtual session, and due to some glitch, it didn't show up on the provider's end that I had joined. On its own, that's fine, glitches happen. However, I sent several texts and called several times saying I had joined and found out later that the provider kept her phone off while working. On its own, that's also fine. However, what are people supposed to do if this glitch happens, the provider has their phone off, and there's no way to send a message through the telehealth portal? Send a carrier pigeon? Just know that when you fill out your original paperwork, you’re going to be asked about your pronouns, and gender identity. I left both of those questions blank because it doesn’t apply to me at all, and that’s not why I’m seeking counseling. During my intake, I was asked the question what gender do I identify as, and I refused to answer it. I told the coordinator that it didn’t apply to me so that’s why it’s left blank.
