I am a college student with limited funds who was visiting the Sheridan/Open Lands area for a beach day. I believed parking was permitted until sunset and promptly headed back to my vehicle after announcements to leave at sunset. I returned to my car around 8:50 PM (sunset ~8:30–8:40 PM) and received a $50 ticket issued at 8:53 PM by Officer P. Youngs, just missing the officer as he drove away.
