I feel completely misled. I set up Ooma because I was told it would integrate with my CRM texting, but it only works for calling. To be honest, both the mobile and desktop apps suck. The interface is clunky and unreliable. I’m constantly missing important texts because the app marks them as 'read' before I’ve even opened them. Convincing Ooma that you no longer want their services is harder than it needs to be. Other than telling them that you want to cancel your subscription, you also have to be vigilant about the fact that they might continue monthly charges (which they will not refund). If I had known that exiting their services would be this hard, then I would not have signed up with them in the first place. So, avoid Ooma or you'll regret it later.
I am formally reporting ongoing service failures with Ooma that have directly impacted my business operations. After porting our phone numbers and waiting nearly a month for SMS activation, Ooma caused the loss of all our text messages — including client communications, employee timestamp logs, and other important business information. Completely garbage company! They charge random amounts at random times. And have no records when you call with bank statements. Don't use these guys! Not worth the head aches!!!!!!!!
UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I called and canceled 3 lines of service on 9/19. During that call, we discussed what the charge would be on the upcoming bill. When the bill was drafted on 9/25, it included the 3 lines i had canceled last week. I called and spoke with a rep who had no answers and then was escalated to a Team Level Supervisor. That supervisor did not have the authority to refund my money and could only submit a request, which would take 5 days after and if it was approved.
