In spite of the negative reviews, my experiences are 4-5 stars over the last 2+ years. The service is solid and cost is FREE after VOIP equipment purchase plus monthly federal taxes. I'm using OOMA with 8 Panasonic wireless handsets (2 base stations.

I feel completely misled. I set up Ooma because I was told it would integrate with my CRM texting, but it only works for calling. To be honest, both the mobile and desktop apps suck. The interface is clunky and unreliable. I’m constantly missing important texts because the app marks them as 'read' before I’ve even opened them. I’ve procrastinated on switching because porting texting numbers is a massive headache, but I’ve reached my breaking point. Support is nice, but they never actually fix the technical bugs. Convincing Ooma that you no longer want their services is harder than it needs to be. Other than telling them that you want to cancel your subscription, you also have to be vigilant about the fact that they might continue monthly charges (which they will not refund). If I had known that exiting their services would be this hard, then I would not have signed up with them in the first place. So, avoid Ooma or you'll regret it later.
