From 1961 to 2019 ASI grew to extend its membership to almost 64,000 members and has extended financial services across Southeast Louisiana and beyond. This whole place has gone in the wrong direction. It just took me 50 minutes to make a cash deposit. First I waited in line to have a teller say I had to use an electronic deposit. Then i am fussed at by two people because my bills weren't crisp enough for the auto teller. Um, I am in a bank and that is legal tender, I own a business and can't tell my clients or customers to only give me crisp new bills. I prefer the old way of banking. Since the upgrade, my debit ATM card is no longer useful, there aren't any more drive-through ATMs, which makes transactions take longer. Since everything is on a kiosk now what used to take 5 minutes now takes at least 30 minutes because there are too many problems using the kiosk. I am not interested in opening a checking account because this account is for deposit and automatic payments only.
I’ve had this credit union for a while, but now I have to go to a machine and talk to someone on a screen which is really annoying. You pretty much having me do what a teller should be doing which I feel is unfair to the customer and when I need help I have to wait for a real person to come over because there’s not many people at the bank anymore. I’m probably going to switch credit union’s I liked it before I had easy going transactions everything doesn’t need to be digital they need actual people in the bank.
Registered in their new app on 6/4/25 and saw that I already got charged a $2 paper statement fee. I opened a brand new account through their online process about two weeks prior. Tried to call to get that fee refunded because I'm a new member, but a manager said no because it was not their fault. Congrats, your company has lost my business before I even moved money into those accounts.
