I had a safe deposit box with One West before 1st Citizens Bank took over. Just before the transition to 1st Citizens, I emptied my box and closed the account. To my surprise, this December 1st Citizens sent an invoice. I called them to tell them the account was closed but they insisted I must come in person to close it out (again) at the original branch.
