If you love handcraft and want to help those in the poorest of nations, then One World Market is the best place to be in while in Durham. Opened in 1992, this not for profit and volunteer based store is entirely based on fair trade. It features the works of artisans from over 65 developing countries as well as indigent areas of the United States. It was an initiative of Watts Street Baptist Church and Durham Congregations in Action, and is a wonderful space to buy unique gifts, jewelry and accessories.

Quality handicrafts from around the world. – In Short One World Market is an interfaith, volunteer-operated retail store. One World Market provides self-employment for low-income crafters and focuses public concern on economic justice for the poor and sustainable economic development.
Great store! – Large variety of merchandise. It's a great store to find gifts for most people. The new location is easier to find now and the store seems larger. I particularly like their clay pots because they are unusual and inexpensive.
One World Market has a 4.9 star rating with 78 reviews.
One World Market is closed now. It will open tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.
