David has been at Kenton for almost 4 months. The quality of care that he has received has been outstanding. The staff is friendly, compassionate, attentive and respectful. Watching the staff lovingly interact with residents has brought tears to my eyes. Since David’s arrival at Kenton he has become stronger and has even shown some cognitive improvement. I am extremely disappointed with how our three-year relationship with One Kenton Place came to an end. For the past three years, I have volunteered my time as a musician to bring live music to the residents. Our performances have always been completely free of charge. We never asked for or received any performance fees. We did this because we genuinely cared about the residents and wanted to bring them some joy through music. I live in Edmonton but was back in Toronto recently and able to visit One Kenton Place a couple of times. I was pleased to see the level of care my Uncle receives and to the extent he can enjoy it, I was heartened to hear things like "it's the first time I've had a fresh shirt every day, ever in my life!" and "the food in the restaurant is great and it's free!" One Kenton Place is a superb facility with compassionate, caring, and patient staff who have genuine expertise in caring for people with dementia. They offer great food and inspired, meaningful activities for their residents. This is a community for people with dementia, and the residents at One Kenton live with their dignity intact. Our family has been delighted and impressed by the care and compassion they offer to our elderly parent.
