I (Marguerite) could not recommend the Reformer Pilates program at OTG run by Leila Coogan more highly. I first encountered reformer Pilates at OTG after my first hip replacement it was brilliant for regaining strength and flexibility. So before my second hip replacement I did regular Pilates classes to strengthen my muscles pre surgery, because I was very aware that the surgeon would fix up the structure of my hip joint but I needed to do the work to build up the muscles and tendons that would support my new hip. Two years ago, I had a session with Mark (physio). As a result of an adventure lifestyle and some injuries, I was struggling to maintain my overall health and wellbeing. Treatment from Mark assisted positively with pain and movement. He suggested reformer pilates. I was sceptical as had participated in this modality before and found the several organisations I went to, be abit too much of, loud music and a definite lack of physical knowledge, not to be my thing.
