For a place that specializes in pelvic floor therapy and deals with pregnant people, the staff truly does not know how to deal with a pregnant person. Physical therapists do not go to any sort of medical school and they know nothing about blood pressure. You don't make someone work out and then take their blood pressure. One of the PTs told me "exercise helps lower blood pressure." Yes, OVER TIME, not right after a work out. You also need to let someone sit for at least 15 min before taking their blood pressure. The VA contracted with the Olympic Sports & Spine – Sumner YMCA to provide physical therapy for me. The provider called and scheduled an appointment with me two weeks ago for March 27th. I received a phone call on March 25th @6:00 PM notifying me that they have been trying to contact me but had the wrong phone number. I was then informed that they had not received the authorization for treatment and that I would need to contact the VA to send it over. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. I love that it is located inside the YMCA. After physical therapy I am loving the convince of going right into my regular workout routine. If you are a member of the Y I highly recommend using this location.
Office staff is very unprofessional rude and completely disrespectful to the patients. Each time I go check in for an appointment, I feel like I am interrupting their girlie social hour. . 2 out of 3 visit so far my appts. have either slotted to a different time then scheduled or complete erased from schedule. When inquiring about the mix up, from a call To me. The receptionist’s response was, “I didn’t do it!” Instead of trying to figure out what happened.
