I would not suggest you use Derek Olson if you’re expecting professionalism, a lawyer to be on your side or communication. I dealt with Derek and brook. Over the course of almost 5 months, I sent multiple emails, and left voicemails, with no response back. I then came to hear through somebody that Derek left the firm, and I was not notified until I had started reaching out. Experience of closing a home was fine. Years after the home was closed I noticed multiple debits from my account. It was from Olschewski Davie. My bank had no way of stopping or refunding this money. It's been almost 5 months, OD has admitted they debited my account "unknowingly" yet I still have not been reimbursed by their bank or them directly. Little scary that this is possible and very little sense of urgency to receive my money back. Maybe keep your banking info private or use checks with them.
Absolutely outstanding service. I had the pleasure of working with Janet, Richard and Abhishek. Their whole team is professional, knowledgeable and highly responsive. I have used them twice now and would recommend this firm to anyone requiring expert real estate law advice!
The lawyers here are AWFUL. We requested that a Cohabitation Agreement be drafted. The first email stated that it would be completed within 1-2 weeks. Nothing. No updates or anything. Then we received an email saying it would be done within the week. Nothing again. I'm paying for a service; the least your lawyers could do is adhere to their self-imposed deadlines and, if not, at least communicate with the client. These people take your retainer and then disappear. DON'T RECOMMEND.
