The nice folks at Olek have now done two jobs for me; both restorations of Eames side chairs. The work they did was excellent, there was good turn around time, and they communicated with me very quickly. I'm really happy to have found such a professional operation for furniture restoration and I highly recommend them.
Outstanding! I had a 1970s leather barrel chair repaired -- new cushioning for the seat and part of the leather replaced. The seat feels totally comfortable and the leather is a perfect match. I also had 1980s dining room chairs repaired -- new seat cushioning and new fabric. This, also, was a perfect repair job. The skills of the folks at this shop are off the charts excellent! Plus, Peter, Yan, the technicians I met, and even the dogs, are all very cool. Unique!
My mother owns an antique black lacquered coffee table with three porcelain medallions. The table had seen better days with the lacquer flaking off, joints becoming unstable and overall this beautiful piece looked rough. I brought the table to Olek’s furniture restoration shop and they detailed all of work required and the inlays and colors used. First class experience all around. A beautiful repair to our iconic Eames lounge chair. After the initial shockmount repair, we had Olek precisely restore upholstery and the original rosewood -- looks spectacular! Wonderful customer service as well — highly recommend.
