I had 200 dollars in my checking and deposited 1000 on a Saturday. That weekend I made several bill payments and purchases that exceeded 200. Unbeknownst to me, Old National did not clear my Saturday deposit of 1000 till Tuesday, and charged me several overdraft fees. The Saturday deposit of 1000 they said was unsettled funds. So all purchases made over my 200 was overdraft charged, 5 or 6 for a total of a couple hundred dollars. I receive social security disability a portion is designated to my children. I ve had two acct s at different banks for five yrs, one at Chase, in the city i live in, was my children s acct and one at Blackhawk Bank 10 miles away, this acct is my porton. This bank is terrible. We have/had been customers with them over 3 years and recently they stole \$140.00 from our account. We deposited \$500 CASH at the bank, to a teller, during the same business hours that are at any other Old National branch. They claimed later it did not go in until Tuesday! In turn, charging us \$140.00 in overdraft fees. My account NEVER shows negative in my checkbook OR the account site. I cant stand this bank and am ready to leave it. The branch manager Katie has absolutely no clue on what she is doing. They lie and make false promises in order to get you to join. They charge \$6.95 a month for a checking account. Their are cheaper banks out there with FREE checking accounts. Their "Debit Card Rewards" program is a scam. I have submitted receipts and have STILL yet to get my rebate check! You call there and nobody is able to answer your questions. Another good example of a bank that got "bailed out" and claims to be on the up and up, yet keeps increasing fees and practices unethical business. Avoid this bank. I was a customer for 19 years until they started thinking about making money dishonestly rather than serving customers. Lots of hidden charges here and money that disappeared from my account
Old National Bank doesnt want customers who are common working class people. They will soak you with fees for everything you do and treat you like a lowlife scum. They are condescending, snobbish and uncaring. I would recommend any other bank besides this one. Dont do business here.
I went to this bank to GIVE them \$5,000 to open a CD.I was refused an account because ChexSystems came back saying I had a closed account within the last 5 years. I MOVED FOR PETES SAKE! Who keeps accounts open somewhere when that bank is not even located in your new state. Doesnt say much for their customer service. They could have checked out the rest of my bank accounts here but didnt even ask what bank I did regular business with, just said "its their policy to deny". How stupid is that. I have been banking here 20 years now and I can honestly say that I feel safe here and they have never made a mistake on my account. When I use the drive thru they are pleasant. I only wish that they would use my name more and show more recognition.
HORRIBLE BANK!!!! They charge a \$10.00 fee for "returned mail"??? who does that.... All of their fees are completly absurd.... and then they claim that its been that way "forever" but ive had an account with them for the past 15 yrs and never got charged until 2009.... closing my account and switching to a new bank.... STAY FAR AWAY!!!!! 00000 stars if it were possible
