I receive social security disability a portion is designated to my children. I ve had two acct s at different banks for five yrs, one at Chase, in the city i live in, was my children s acct and one at Blackhawk Bank 10 miles away, this acct is my porton. I went to this bank to GIVE them \$5,000 to open a CD.I was refused an account because ChexSystems came back saying I had a closed account within the last 5 years. I MOVED FOR PETES SAKE! Who keeps accounts open somewhere when that bank is not even located in your new state. Doesnt say much for their customer service. They could have checked out the rest of my bank accounts here but didnt even ask what bank I did regular business with, just said "its their policy to deny". How stupid is that.
