It is a beautiful home/museum, and all of the employees are friendly and quite knowledgeable. But it is not that large, and it feels a little over priced (especially compared to the similarly priced but much larger Isabel Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston).

The wonderful mansion built by the painter Frederic Church, with mind boggling views of the Hudson river A major American Painter from the Hudson school. The mixture of oriental and European style of this house is pretty unique. A must see.
Beautiful, historic home in a spectacular setting above the Hudson River.
