A synthesis of Persian art and Western. This combination in fact is so charming, and was blooming in late 18th century in Iran and perhaps whole Middle East. There are a few buildings from Qajar dynasty era in Tehran, Iran that resembles this combination. I really loved it, specially the tile works and floral motifs. Very cool location with great views of the upper Hudson valley. Great place for any fans of American art history. The docents were very knowledgeable about the property and the history and life of Fredrick Church.
Great experience on a snowy, quiet day. Practically had the place to myself!
