Selected for jury today. We have all been here since 8:30. It is now 3:54 with no end in sight. No communication, we’re just made to sit here like criminals. Not a single vending machine in the whole building, so if you’re hungry; sorry for your luck. Don’t know who to complain too, but this is very disrespectful to all of us who came here to serve. Have some respect for people and their time. Have done jury duty many times in other counties. Love my town of Okeechobee, but this courthouse is ridiculous.

In result of Identification practices without full disclosure we as natural people are faced with many hardships and are automatically assumed as combative or enemies and corporate entities feed on us not being aware of the facts regarding their practices.This is another one of the many government private for profit entities that will allow you to believe all matters are settled while have shady back door deals and nondisclosed bonds filed against you as a action to raise capital FIAT paper currency. Standing in front of this beautiful courthouse building, the sign points out "Okeechobee County was formed Aug. 7, 1917, from St. Lucie, Osceola and Palm Beach Counties. Long a haunt of the Seminoles, the area saw almost no white penetration until the 2nd Seminole War, 1835-42. Much fighting occurred in the county during the war including the Battle of Lake Okeechobee on Dec. 25, 1837. The county has become a major truck crop area.
