What a gem. We just so happened to pass the owner who was closing shop yet she was kind enough to welcome us for a Turkish coffee.
Authentic Turkish cafe serving the eponymous coffee you'd expect, a range of exotic sweet snacks, and delicious toasties. It's a nice place to chillout and read, and they also have a vinyl record corner with some old school Turkish records – if you're lucky the owner may play some for you!
Walked in after lunch across the road. Ordered a Turkish Coffee with cardamom, and it was exactly what I wanted. Even came with a little Turkish Delight. Perfect.
O’Kahve is a beautiful refuge from the bustling Sydney Road. I was first lured in by Sufi music and portraits of Frida Kahlo, but now I can’t get enough of the great food, coffee and company. Pictures below is how I feel hanging out at O’Kahve
