Goose Island in the C terminal: good beer, bad food, surly employees. Still, the beer is worth it.
Pray you don't fly out of gate B17 as there is approximately waiting space for 6.5 people.

Awesome for people watching. Just not for a 5 hour layover.
Instead of trying to jam your oversized suitcase into the overheard where it won't fit anyway, fly an airline other than United that doesn't charge you baggage fees. Chicago has enough ontime issues.
Wolfgang puck's has pretty good pizza, 10 bucks for a tiny one though
Only two bars: O'Briens and Macaroni Grill. The first is tiny but if you get a seat, you can watch a game. MacGrill is much larger and has outdoorsy seating like a European bistro.
The fruit and yogurt parfait in terminal 2 near gates E and F are worth the $4.49.
