Get there early, and plan accordingly. Also if you are in Terminal 2, go to the far right for security check, its not busy and waay shorter of a line. Less headaches!
Go to O'Hare. Get out as soon as possible. Like Dulles, but uglier. Smell of feet.
Two hours early can be torture here, but long lines at security are assumed.
T2 Go to the security entrance on the right most side--usually a shorter lineup.
Don't pack any snow globes in your carry on luggage- security will take it or you'll have to check your bag and repeat security line. Learned it the hard way today.

I am not going to cry about the weather delays yesterday, those are to be expected. I will mention that the gate crew put us on the wrong plane causing us to sit there for 2 hours. Brilliant!!!
Agree with previous guy re:unsolicited rides. They're usually not licensed/insured. Watch out for the Indian guy on lower level near AA baggage claims.
Don't think you'll move fast at AA baggage service. The people are slow as molasses
