I thoroughly enjoyed the carpentry course, as I gained knowledge of how to use tools properly and also learned basic construction. There was a variety of students, who I enjoyed meeting and learning from. Many were involved in theatre, but others (like me) just wanted to improve their carpentry skills. Excellent experience!!!

I had a fantastic time taking Intermediate Theatrical Carpentry at Off The Wall. The instruction was great and everyone in the class was so friendly- I couldn't believe we built an entire Mamma Mia set in 5 days! I came away with more confidence in my carpentry skills and an appreciation for what it takes to built a full-scale set.

I've taken two Off the Wall courses, which were both fabulous - great fun and very practical. Classes are small and teachers are truly inspiring. I look forward to adding Boot Making, in November, and wearing home my bespoke leather creations.

I took the Basic Theatrical Sewing course together with my computer engineering student. It was a great weekend of learning from a passionate instructor (Lela Stairs) and connecting with my own child and with other people with similar interests. A few months later, I participated in the Pattern Drafting Workshop, also led by Lela. She adapted her teaching to my relatively limited and rusty skills and helped me understand new techniques of building my own patterns.
