These guys when we were buying our house thought it fair that seeing as they couldn't get in touch with the owner for settlement that we should pay the owner rent until it settled. Didn't bother to inform us of our rights as the buyer until I asked the owner to pay penalties until found (my rights) then they were able to 'find' the owner quickly smart
