I joined a group of eleven other divers from OFD on Sunday, April 1 at Aurora Reservoir to kick off the season of diving there. It was snowing when we got up, but by the time we arrived, the sun was peeking through the clouds. All of us were Dry Suit divers, which was necessary to brave the 42-45 degree water. What a great experience! I have taken the course to get my Open Water Certification through Ocean First, as well as travelled to Homestead Crater with the group for checkout dives. I also purchased all of my personal snorkeling gear through the shop! The staff is dedicated, helpful, and really makes newcomers feel welcome and like part of the community. Bringing the sea to Colorado! Besides the fact the shop is amazing and the staff as so knowledgeable and friendly, the Incredible scientific work done by the Ocean First Institute's very own Mikki McComb-Kobza is unprecedented. Their non-profit shark conservation work is one for the books, keep being awesome!
Thank you Amy for making our dive trip happen! Our flight was cancelled due to the pending storm. While remaining on hold with the airline for a very long time, she started texting me suggesting we go ahead to the airport while she tries to get us on an earlier flight ahead of the storm. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us!!!
