I have had several credit unions over the years. Most give good service and customer service, this one does not. Examples: Vehicle loan, told paperwork (payment amount and due dates) would come out in a couple weeks, after that time told another date weeks later, with no statement still we had to get a senior person to work on it - the statement had been created weeks before and payment was due the next day and we were told he didn’t know why we had twice been given wrong information as it was clear in the account. My experience with OCCU has been a nightmare. It's been the worst experience I have ever had with any credit union and I urge individuals to pick a different credit union/lender. They absolutely do not care about you and have issues with communicating properly within their own department. I have an auto loan with OCCU. Due to life circumstances, my income went down by 60% a month. I had originally inquired about a voluntary repo. I rent a post office box so that my mail will not be delivered to my home address. My home mailbox is in a row of them on a well traveled street in a town where mail theft is frequent. I was not happy to find my tax statement in my street mailbox instead of my post office box. I was assured that the problem was being fixed. Fast forward. I’d give 5 stars if they’d stop sending mail to my street mailbox instead of using my mailing address which is secure in a post office box. It has only happened twice but it is two times too many. The first time it happened I called about it and I was told that it did in fact go to my P.O. Box. Upon my insistence that it be looked into since that was not true, it was, and I received an apology.
