Best Bank in town
I’ve been with this credit union for years. The fraud prevention is hands down a reason to bank with them. I just experienced fraud for the first time and they contacted me immediately through text to see if it was fraud. They then called and went through my card usage for last few days. Never once asking me to verify my account number etc. I walked into this branch and had a new card and walking out within minutes. I will always be grateful and thankful for this feature I don’t actually know I had until I needed it.
OCCU is a community gem. Operating in Eugene and several other communities, the credit union sponsors various healthy community focussed activities. The feeling in the many convenient branches is low key, calm kindness. I appreciated Deven at the downtown branch who helped me wrangle my May Finances. Try them and feel the difference!
Banked with them about 8 years ago until i moved out of state. They decided to send a secured credit card account I paid off before closing all accounts to my credit, so no longer can ever bank with them again until i pay them money I already paid. in addition, since i moved back to Eugene, their ATMs are some of the only ones i can use to deposit to my ICCU account in Idaho so I can pay my loan. They mailed my title without it being certified mail and it got lost in the mail and has created a huge headache. I cannot believe they wouldn't ask me if I wanted it sent certified mail. It has created hours of time for me and 7 trips to the DMV to try to sort out a problem that shouldn't have happened in the first place. Would have been so easy for them to send it certified.
