My husband passed away in July and within a week occu was calling me to close our joint account. I explained that I wanted to keep it open for a short time to make sure that there were no known auto withdrawals on the account. The bank staff(Ingrid) persisted in badgering me to the point of tears and then stupidly remarked, "I don't want to pressure you", even though she clearly had been!!! FUTURE CUSTOMERS BEWARE: THIS CREDIT UNION WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU. THEY WILL SHUT DOWN YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT WITHOUT TELLING/WARNING YOU. STAY AWAY.
My experience with OCCU has been a nightmare. It's been the worst experience I have ever had with any credit union and I urge individuals to pick a different credit union/lender. They absolutely do not care about you and have issues with communicating properly within their own department. I have an auto loan with OCCU.
