Why do you make turning on Autopay so difficult? I've never seen a utility company do this before, they must make more money off all the late fees in 2026.
I have been trying to reach this office to pay my bill since last Thursday. I was locked out of my account and never received the e-mail codes to unlock. I tried calling Thursday, on hold for 10 minutes before I got a message to leave voice mail. No response. Customer service is absolutely horrible! Wish the CFO would actually get on the phone and resolve things like the supervisor said. Overbilled without any explanation and customer has extreme hold times without ever resolving anything. If I could give zero stars I would
Personally I am very fond of Oates billing versus JEA. Customer service was great when I had some questions about ACH setup. Website is pretty easy to navigate. Compared to JEA, I am actually glad I pay you for my water and energy bills. Please don't spike up the prices out of greed. To my fellow people who do not want to pay the extra $5 fee for online payments, you can either send in a money order/check ORRRR you can fill out an application on their website for automatic ACH payments. Poor Residential Customer Service. It is not possible to contact their representative; you can only leave a message. Furthermore, you cannot send them an email unless you provide an account number or a resident ID.
