My sister has been at Oasis for 2 1/2 years, however I have not put off writing a review during this time, but now have a computer that will let me do it. Oasis is indeed that, I did not know such places exist, the management and staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. The meals are varied, vast and delicious, the grounds are park like and kept beautifully, and the bonus is that pets are welcome. This isn't a village you can rent in,you have to.pay thousands to"own your own property ". So don't take any notice of the advertisements that they send out for renting!!! How do people like this say it's renting when it's not???
I helped my mother move in 16 months ago. She has never been happier, and constantly thanks me for encouraging/helping her to move. The management and staff are fantastic!! Often going above and beyond. She's made some wonderful friends, enjoys the weekly exercise classes, and enjoys a weekly game of pool in the community room. I only wish I had moved her sooner, I didn't realize how unhappy she was at her previous independent living facility in Gawler.... Mum has really blossomed in her new community.
