Not a good place for elderly Definitely NOT a place to have your Alzheimer & Dementia loved ones to be cared for. It is a very nice clean looking place on the outside and inside. But what determines a good home is the care that clients receives. In that respect Oaks is very lacking. They seem to be understaffed. And although the staff is friendly to us, they just did not take care or seem to care of my Mother. We were very disappointed. Moved her after 3 days because of the lack of care.
If You Have to be in a Nursing Home, This Would be the Place to Choose I hate nursing homes. Both of my grandmothers had to live in nursing homes the last years of their lives. It is my fear that I'll have to live in one, too; however, if I ever have to live in a nursing home, I would probably choose the Oaks.
