We absolutely loved our stay here! The house is absolutely adorable — cozy, beautifully decorated, and full of thoughtful touches. Everything was perfectly in place and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the fireplace added such a lovely touch, and the shower was fantastic. Breakfast was included and it was simply amazing! It is a lovely cottage and well equipped with a fully functional kitchen, which gave us flexibility to have home cooked meals. Checking in was also a breeze and we enjoyed its proximity to the jetty which was a quiet area with beautiful scenery. However, one major problem we encountered during our stay was there was no hot water supply. The hot water supply only worked for the first night we checked in and that was it. What a lovely, peaceful place to stay. We so enjoyed the Gatehouse Cottage and the entire island. Hope to return someday! Max is the perfect innkeeper.

We loved this cosy cottage, especially as our two days there coincided with very stormy weather. It is comfortable and well-equipped, with a restful outlook on to the garden and beautiful furnishings. We did not expect such lavish provision of food for our breakfasts; this was very welcome. t is just a short walk to the wharf and cafe. Highly recommend this place if you are planning a visit to Phillip Island.
