So sad and disappointing how things have changed at Oak Park. The residents and staff are all feeling the effects of the negative environment. I am so thankful our mother is not there to have to experience this. Kayla receptionist is a pro at executing tasks and communicating! John Director of Housing is a pro at all things related to senior care! This place!
Our father moved to Oak Park in February. The transition for him was remarkable, he is content to be there and he feels the caregivers treat him very well. John Corpus, the director, is always on duty, cares immensely for his staff and the residents and is always there to respond to any questions or concerns, we are not sure when he sleeps! My mother has been a resident here for over 4 years. Recently she was able to move into one of the newer units and she loves it! She also went through some very significant health emergencies and the Director of Nursing, Wendy Opsahl, played an essential role in her treatment and recovery. I truly believe my mother would not have made it without Wendy's advocacy, knowledge, and level of care.
