"It's made in the UK" but in the UK we respect people's privacy and DON’T sign them up for newsletters… deleted the app because of this decision. Why would I pay you after that?! EDIT: Clearly based on your review you have NO CLUE about UK GDPR. It is entirely OPT-IN. To say "we do mention we'll send you weekly newsletters" is literally highlighting how your entire system is ILLEGAL!
As you can see below, they say: "we do mention we'll send you weekly newsletters" This is literally highlighting how their entire system is in violation with GDPR law. A person can ONLY opt-in to newsletters. You CANNOT automatically opt them in. If this is how a company cares about data privacy law, I highly recommend anybody reading this avoids them LIKE THE PLAGUE!
This is a really good user friendly app for a very reasonable price. The barcode scanner makes things really easy and I've been able to link the app to my smart watch to track my exercise. It details all your nutritional breakdown which I found really helpful as I want to track salt and fibre too. The customer service is really excellent - which is really important to me. Scanning and logging are easy and the range of product data available is impressive. However I signed up because I wanted to track my added sugar, and unfortunately the analysis only shows total sugar. To be fair it gives an indication of the percentage coming from fruit and vegetables, but importantly it doesn’t identify other natural sugars (from milk for example). In addition you can’t see the nutrient analysis for individual meals or even an individual day. Frustrating, as otherwise it would be a great app.
The app has helped me stay in a calorie deficit. I thought losing weight was hard because I'd hit 41yo.....nope. 1st 6lb off in 8 weeks. I would highly recommend this app.
