Moving in a few days house is being cleaned now . I will update how the moveout process is .will be out of here by the 18th.not gonna miss the horribly thin walls and freezing cold all the time . They had a big move in event 1 year ago for civilians they moved in several civilian families and now one year later they're kicking us out last week we got a letter saying we got to move out they told us we'd be able to stay here at least a couple years. The application process is awful. They take forever to do a simple background check, a week and counting and when you ask to speak to a director are told they are in a meeting. Very poor service. Other housing takes a couple of days and somehow the management company here thinks it’s ok to take their time and blame a third party company on wait times. I expected more from a company that works with the military. Very concerned at the lack of care. Great Lakes used to have a great housing office a decade ago but not anymore.
I was denied housing and was tolled to stay at extended stay at 9 Months Pregnant. I finally got on the waitlist after fighting for a spot and moved in the Same night I gave birth. My babies crib wasn’t set up or nothing. After moving out I was charged a few hundred to replace a carpet that was messed up before I moved in. That whole experience was so traumatic!

Well, we lived in Great Lakes Housing for the past 11 years. Relocated January 2023. Always paid rent on time, caused no problems for Housing nor community. Made enhancements to property out of our own pocket which will definitely benefit next resident i.e left garage door opener, updated shower heads/rods (Spa quality) paid to have Master bedroom bathroom outfitted with hardwood floors, updated landscaping due to wife's asthma.
