The lack of professionalism from the staff is honestly concerning. A college bookstore exists to serve students, and we should be able to walk in, ask questions, and receive basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, my experiences have repeatedly left me feeling unwelcome and dismissed. Looking through other reviews, it’s clear I’m not the only student who has experienced this. Very rude and unhelpful staff, I called today to ask about my concerns the lady even didn’t want to mention her name. All I was trying to ask about my summer opt out, the lady started speaking loudly and rude. She said “call to financial dep,” I told her they just referred me to you, she said “ let me check the system then she said “the summer part is close in the system and I don’t have access ”. The staff at the NOVA Annandale Bookstore act like they’re sick of seeing students the moment you walk in. They’re lazy, disrespectful, and carry an attitude that makes every interaction feel like an inconvenience. Their behavior is cold, heartless, and at times outright dismissive. Instead of helping, they look down on you, rush you, or make you feel like you’re bothering them just by asking a simple question. Went in today inquiring about a set of earbuds that shows out-of-stock online via the bookstore, which they have it available on the floor. Without much help from the staffs, this lady started "wagging" her fingers pulling random information out of thin air. Talking about all bookstore catalog is based on Alexandria campus. If this was true why would Alexandria online bookstore shows multiple color options and Annandale only showing 1 options and out-of-stock.
