We called this guy on a Saturday. He said he charges $2 per notarization, which is normal. However, he also said he would be charging a $50 travel fee. He's only a few blocks away, so that's outrageous. He said, "If you think that's expensive, try finding somebody else on a Saturday." Legally he's only supposed to charge the $2 but this is his way of charging extortionate prices. And I did manage to find another notary on a Saturday, as well as some really good weeknight notaries.
