I work in a kitchen with concrete floors, and no mats. I have the Xero Prio All-Day SR Barefoot shoes, which I love dearly, and do not want to stop wearing. They are great for my feet, and back! However, by the end of an 8 hour shift, I was beginning to feel a bit of discomfort in my knees, which I attributed to the impact of being on a hard surface. This type of joint pain was new for me. I use them in my Vivo Decon FG2 hiker shoe (and sometimes my Lems). VERY good for hiking, the original Vivo insole is quite stiff. This Northsole adds a small cushion and improves ground feel a bit. But even so, I step on a lot of rocks/gravel and it feels quite nice/comfortable compared to no insole. One downside with Injinji WOOL socks, the insole surface is a bit slippery--okay to hike, wouldn't run. Vise versa, regular polyester/synthetic socks grip like mad, super grounded and lots of control

Easy and comfy. Easy to trim to the proper size of insoles and have been comfortable standing 9+ hours a day at work.
