Online banking is horrible. Customer service is the bare minimum, and business hours are not accommodating for the typical working person. They put 24 hour holds on check deposits, even on payroll checks. The app will reject deposits with no actual reason, even when it’s uploaded during regular business hours, and they don’t notify you when your deposit is rejected. Tiffany T, Senior Team Lead for Deposit Services, was an absolute pleasure to work with for an issue I was experiencing. The customer service at Northeast Bank is top notch!
Their "ableBanking" website advertises a 6-month CD rate of 5.3%, but if you have an existing 6-month CD that automatically renews, the rate is .05%. It's just a horribly, unethical practice. Closing my account because of this issue. Good riddance.
