The staff at North Woods are some of the most kind and compassionate people I've ever met. They took exceptional care of my mother and all the residents.
The receptionist is very friendly and welcoming and when I initially spoke to Rick and he was very friendly and engaging. He said this facility had 24/7 nursing care and their assisting living facility was designed to accommodate dementia or Alzheimer’s patients and I asked him if they had a hoyer to assist my husband and he said yes they would accommodate. 8-13-2026 My wife is a resident at North Woods Village in Kalamazoo and I have been greatly pleased with the choice that I made in getting her there. The staff has been wonderful, giving respect, dignity, and comfort to all that are there including the resident’s loved ones. As usual, Marches food was fantastic!!
Very clean, friendly and loving staff who really care about the residents, delicious food. We found while searching that when memory care units are tacked onto larger assisted living facilities, the memory care units are tiny and cramped, with small courtyards. Since North Woods Village is all memory care, the courtyard is big, and she can walk all around and not be restricted to a tiny space. This was really important for us.
