Rode far out of my way to upgrade my bike and oddly enough the “weekend guy” admitted to knowing nothing about bikes and people usually just come in and he writes them up a ticket for repairs. Pay attention whoever owns this shop…your employee is turning away money. Just flat out refused to sell me anything regarding bikes, upgrades, or even frivolous spending! Just saying you might want to consider a different option for your weekend help.
Edit: when I came in for a new tube he asked me heavy duty or regular I aksked what’s the price difference he said 10$ or 15$ so I picked the one that costs 5$ more now you’re saying it costs over 20$ ??? Don’t tell me 15 then turns out it costs 25. Came in with my one tire to get a new tube got the heavy duty tube for 15 dollars total ended up being 42$ how??? I understand labor costs but that’s too much didn’t think much of it when paying until looking it up online and talking to a friend
They tuned up my two Globe bikes. Finished when they said they would be ready. I found them friendly and informative not to mention they preformed the work l asked them to do correctly and on time.
my experience with this shop was not good. I had to take my bike in multiple times to have it fixed for the same situation that he had said was fixed and was charged every time. I went to a different shop and was told that the previous shop used cheap equipment. I had it fixed there and haven’t had any problem. So I will never have work done at this shop again.
