We asked Joel to take some extended family photos of us, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. He was so incredible with flexibility, with our children, and with the amout of beautiful pictures he took for us. We couldn't be more impressed or thankful for the memories he has captured for us. We used North Rim/Joel for a 30-min family session and had a great experience! Joel was great with our toddler and captured beautiful photos of our family. The location was perfect, his timing for the proper light was spot on and he was super responsive and easy to work with. We travelled from Davis to have our photos done in Chico and will be using Joel/North Rim for future services. Highly recommend!

We loved working with Joel on our Big Sur wedding. He was calm and had a wonderful, peaceful vibe throughout the day, which really helped everyone relax in front of the camera, yet he also did a great job directing everything. He knew all the right shots and made the photography fit in seamlessly to the day. Joel was absolutely amazing! We would 100% recommend. He took both our engagement and wedding photos. Absolutely love our photos! He will do anything to get the shot even if that means getting soaked by ocean waves up to his chest. Joel is professional and personable. He made us feel so comfortable and still was able to capture absolutely gorgeous shots.
