Wife taken to ER after fall.. Complained of back, hip, neck injuries. Several x-rays and CT scan performed . She was told by ER physician Toria Brown that she did not have any fractures or broken bones and she was discharged. After two weeks of excruciating pain and inability to stand or walk she was seen at Ochsner where she was diagnosed with a compression fracture of L1 vertebra requiring surgery. I took my 87 year old mother to see Dr Burns. He was wonderful. He took the time to explain everything and listen to what my mom had to say. I was very impressed with everyone we saw while at the office. Thank you for being so patient, compassionate and kind.

Office staff is very rude and condescending!! I was a long time patient of Dr Ferreira I called to have my prescriptions sent to my pharmacy they refused !! I was left without my prescriptions.Office Manager stated she would call me back never did ! Trying to get through to office is a 1/2 hour wait via a call center ! What kind of Doctor allows that ?
