Called for an inspection. Was waiting in my car all day at the property. They have the contact number written down for when inspections are scheduled. The inspector does not call. Leaves and fails. Then I call the building department. They hang up the phone because I am yelling at them. They say their inspectors don’t make phone calls, so they can just leave when they want. I show up in person. The most horrible customer service experience by phone. I'm a GC and also a permit runner and dealing with this City is very frustrating. I would have thought at this point they would have improve this services but it feels like dealing with medieval era. They don't even worth the 1 star you are forced to use here..

I pulled electric permits with this Building Department. They dragged it out 2 years failed me for being up to code, then when I did the work they said to, they failed me for not doing what we did do. They also failed me for the new code when work was done for the prior year. They told me to install grounding wires incorrectly. Getting ahold of the building department was difficult. I would advise thinking twice on pulling permits tbh. They gave me a hard time until I got the city managers office involved.
