I asked NGA to prepare my federal and NC state 2024 tax returns. The returns were not complicated and similar info was used by an AARP volunteer in previous years and completed within an hour. It took NGA 6 weeks; I had to inquire twice about the status; and was charged more than I thought I had been told, and then discovered that the bank account routing number put on my federal return was entered incorrectly requiring NGA to call the IRS with the correct info, but that mistake will now require paper checks to be mailed to ... read more
Brian and his team do a great job. Very easy to work with and they take care of everything for us. I just bring all the forms in and let them work their” magic” . I feel that they stay on top of all the tax codes that are constantly changing which in turn benefits us. We have used them for the last several years and have been very satisfied.
Personally, we had a terrible experience with NGA. We went to them because we needed specific help with RMD's (Required Minimum Distribution) as mandated by the IRS for our 401K. At our initial visit with Brian, he assured us that he was familiar with RMD's but would need to do some research and would get back to us. We did not hear back from Brian, but our taxes were prepared by someone else in the office. However, the RMD issue was not addressed.
