I am happy with this wonderful facility but I am not happy that my husband Robert A Nelson has been here three weeks for rehab and has fell three times and taken twice to the Emergency Room. Thank God he did not break any bones. I was told I could not stay the night in his room to help keep him safe through the night. The Home requires him to have two assistants when he walks. So my dad has been there over two years and normally gets great care. This past weekend he was diagnosed with cellulitis on his legs. Diagnosed by an ER doctor. I requested weeks ago for a doctor from the VA home to see him/call me. This has been untreated for several weeks. No antibiotics or ointment. They diagnosed as “fungal/athletes foot”.
