My brother is a Navy veteran and now resides in the memory care unit in the North Carolina Veterans Home. He has only been there for 2 months and already seems better than he has in several years. He is clearly well cared for. The staff is helpful and interact compassionately and kindly with the Veterans and their visitors.

Love thus place. Seem so far to be a good fit for my husband that was hurt in a accident.

I am continually impressed by staff at the NC State Veterans Home in Kinston NC. Staff are all caring, skilled and professional. Our veterans deserve the best care and the Veterans Home in Kinston staff and the community in Kinston deliver!

My Dad was there for about a month and a half. For the most part everybody was caring. I only had one incident. I walked into my dad's room and he was sitting on the floor in a diaper half undone. I look over and saw a patient sitter playing and talking on her phone. I was extremely upset and hurt. The nurses one the locked unit were very kind. I was an emotional wreck and they talk me through things. I was sad about receiving the phone call after he had passed. I wish they would have called me before hand .
