I am the mother of three adopted children who attended North Atlantic Regional School, and I will say two of my children loved it. They were able to study subjects they enjoyed and to incorporate their academic interests into many classes. However, my youngest daughter is African American, and even though she turned in assignments very similar to her brother's and sister's, and from day one she was held to a higher standard than either of her siblings.
