Terrible experience. I had a procedure done by Ortho Virginia and this company provided the anesthesiology service. They charged my insurance company $400 less than what is being charged to me. I raised a complaint last year and was advised it’d be fixed. 14 months later I hear that nothing was fixed, and I owe the $400 difference. This is illegal to charge different amounts to the insurance company and the patient, as patients are protected under the Federal No Surprise Act. We were surprised to receive a bill a full 12 months after the service was provided. Even more concerning, we received a letter from the company's VP advising us not to pay the bill while they were in the process of resolving a dispute with the insurance company over coverage. Had a c-section in July 2024. The hospital billed me twice under two different anesthesiologists by mistake. My insurance paid one, denied the other. After weeks of tracking it down, my insurance agents speaking directly to NAPA agents TWICE, and being told 3 times now by NAPA that I do not owe anything, I am still receiving bills for almost $4k. I had surgery in February. From the first bill I received from them I started paying them what I could afford weekly started at 20 an week but then had to go to 10. Now they have sent my account to collections and refuse to help. All they wanted to do was argue. They should have their business licenses pulled and sued for refusing to take the payments that people can afford after a surgery
It's unfortunate that this place is being reviewed so badly on BILLING issues. The rating really should be for the doctors, but I have to be one of those. They've submitted a claim to my insurance twice and twice it's been denied because they didn't submit medical records requested by my insurer. I've tried to call the number and it won't even connect. The anesthesiologists were great, but the biling department is terrible.
