My mother Nancy who suffers from Dementia, has been a resident at Carramar for almost 3 years now. Prior to going there my mother lived on her own, she never socialised and was very much a loner, even though over the years after my fathers passing, my brother and I did our best encouraging her to go out, join clubs etc. When mum moved in at Carramar, it continued on that way for a period of time, but the staff never gave up on her to get involved, with it starting out as simply chatting with others during meal times. On website- open 24 hrs… then tried calling 3x to response ‘ you’re calling outside of office hours’?? So you’re NOT open 24 hrs at all? Are u assisting or not? One of our dementia relatives has been contacting & harassing us… so where’s the assist?
